Computer Nitrox Diver

Increased safety margins and reduced post dive fatigue are some advantages to diving with Nitrox, but the main advantage is extended no-decompression times.

Nitrox is available practically everywhere. The benefits are so great, and the cost of nitrox fills are so low that there really is no reason not to dive nitrox whenever it’s available. Nitrox extends the no decompression limits of recreational dives and allows for longer repetitive dives with shorter surface intervals. Many divers claim they feel less tired after a day of diving on nitrox than they do after a day of diving on air.
The SDI Computer Nitrox course is designed to teach open water divers how to use nitrox mixtures up to 40 percent with the aid of a nitrox programmable dive computer. Can be combined with the SDI Advanced Adventure Course.
